A formal assessment is no longer necessary to approve access to a Reader. Instead, students must have a Personal Learning Support Plan that demonstrates how they work to confirm the Access Arrangement of a Reader. It is important to note that a Reader cannot be utilized in exams that assess reading skills, such as Section A of the GCSE English Language papers.
